I built my first Photoshop Action! I used it on the Pinup Tea Party photos I took a little bit ago. It’s a vintage-y black & white action, that is slightly tinted and hazy. I love it, and now that I know how to make and save actions I want to make more! :)
This photo was from my California trip (where all the zoo photos came from). We were in the backyard at the house we were staying at when I came across some snails. It was night and very dark out, but I had to have a photo. My husband used the flashlight app on his iPhone, and I used a flash. You can’t even tell it was dark out! :) (I only bumped up the blacks a little in PS, I didn’t change any lighting)
Ring project.
This is a project that I’ve mostly done with my husband and my wedding rings, but I really want to expand it and photograph and collect photos of many others’ rings in different settings. These are some I have, but I’d like to do many more as this is a project I’ve been interested in for a very long time.
More photos from the zoo.
Photo 1-The orangutan was passed out right against the glass at the zoo, and his little feet were just too cute!
Photo 2- Green Tree Pythons on a branch.
Photo 3- Very pretty flower at the zoo.
Photo 4- I’m not sure what type of monkey this is, but he looks like a little bearded man, and it was funny how he was demanding food from his cage.
Photo 5- An awesome giraffe.
Photo 6- Meerkat. I seriously sat there and waited for it to stand up and “meerkat” lol, it refused…haha
Tiger at the San Diego Zoo. The tiger was right by the viewing window so naturally a 1,000 people (mostly adults) were all over it. I knew I was going to have to get my shot fast so I got my settings set and waited. I literally had ONE shot before the tiger ran after what ever it was staring at. Win. :)
Last Saturday I got to go to Goldfield, NV to the Goldfield High School for the GTOPS “Dinner with a Ghost” event. There was a dinner, then everyone split up to do an investigation (ghost hunting) around the building. That town is a photographer’s dream, but it was very cold and windy so I didn’t get to walk around to see everything. I definitely had a fun time, and it’s something interesting to say I’ve done. Check out Ghost Town Operations’ website, and you could do an investigation with them too! :) http://www.ghosttownoperations.com/
Preview of the pin up tea party shoot! I’m loooooving these photos. I got to work with some AMAZING ladies for this shoot!
Models: Kiti Kobain, Lisa Lefall, Tina Tokyo, and Santina-Alexis.
Makeup/Hair: Amber Dannielle Goeckner (Kiti & Santina), Lisa Lefall (Herself & Tina), and Tina also helped with hair!
I admit defeat…
…on my photo-a-day project. I just can’t keep up! I did three shoots in 5 days, and I’m working on editing those, as well as getting my old house in rental-condition, and I just got so behind that I’m a little unmotivated to go back and catch up. I will AT least do a photo every week, and put previews and favorites from all my photo shoots, but I just can’t keep a promise for an every day photo. Sorry for those of you who actually watched for the photos, but there will still be plenty of content. I have a pretty sweet Pin Up Tea Party shoot that I’m editing and need to post, so keep looking out! :)
